Can someone tell me what SIP/SPA/EPA/whatever is needed to connect an ASR1009-X using 40-gig Ethernet?  Thanks.

Correct.  The SPA slides into the SIP and the SIP slides into the chassis.

Hello,

I think this is what you need:

Cisco ASR 1000 2x40GE Ethernet Port Adapter (breakout cable)
EPA-CPAK-2X40GE

Cisco ASR 1000 Series Ethernet Line Cards Data Sheet

You'll also need a SIP tray.

Thanks all.

What is meant by "breakout cable"?  Is that a separate component?
