After booting with the 0x2142 setting, ensure you change the configuration register back to the default value (commonly 0x2102) after making any necessary changes to the configuration.

The error message related to the authoritative clock suggests there might be an issue with the time settings on the device. Ensure the clock is set correctly and that any NTP settings are accurate.

Common causes for boot loops include configuration issues, hardware problems, and corrupted IOS images. If possible, check the hardware for any visible issues, verify the IOS image, and consider booting from an alternative image if one is available.

If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, you might need to contact Cisco's Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or seek help on networking forums where you can share more detailed logs and get advice from other networking professionals.
