Hello,
Our company receives ASR920 routers from our VAR with a permanent metroipaccess license. When we configure new devices and go to reload them, we get a prompt saying the EULA hasn't been accepted:
Router#reload % Unfortunately EULA is not detected for following feature/features: % metroipaccess % Please configure 'license accept end user agreement' and % use 'write' command to ensure license configurations take effect % Continue reload will cause functionality loss for above feature/features. Continue to reload? (yes/[no]):
This is an issue because we have a ZTP process to configure and ship many ASR920s to our clients daily. It would be operationally difficult to have an individual manually accept the EULA due to the volume and manner that we deploy these routers.
My question is if this prompt is coming up in error or if it does actually need to be accepted?
All indications in the router itself suggest that the license is permanent and the EULA doesn't need to be accepted. I'll list the relevant show commands below. Also I can reload the router and create a working BGP neighborship, which wouldn't be possible without the metroipaccess license. Though I'm concerned if BGP works in this case due to the 60 day trial period, though this is also not indicated in the show commands.

Hello @sherrick ,
from the output of show license
Index 2 Feature: metroipaccess Period left: Life time License Type: Permanent License State: Active, In Use License Count: Non-Counted License Priority: Medium
we see that the MetroIPAccess license is in use and of type Permanent not evaluation.
In addition the part of output related to EULA says:
Router#sh license EULA Feature name EULA Accepted ------------ ------------- advancedmetroipaccess no metroipaccess n/a metroaccess no 1588 10GEupgradelicense 2portGE-4ports10GE
N/A not available but the device complains of a missing accepted EULA when you issue the reload command.
You should be safe, however as the EULA process just requires one line command and then a write mem and not a reload you may be able to do this just with a little change at the configuration template you use for the provisioning.
Alternatively you can open a TAC ticket to have an authorative answer from Cisco about the state of licensing on the device.
Hope to help
Giuseppe
