Asymmetric routing with ospf both input and output path should be same

I am facing an issue with ospf .  Router R1 is connected to  head office router in area x.x.x.x , R1 is also connected to R2  in area y.y.y.y . R2 is further connected to the head office router in area 0.0.0.0

 

we have Mpls L2circiut to land LAN segment of R1 to Head office router 

 

R1--34Mb--->Head Office   (area x.x.x.x)

R1---1G--->R2    (area y.y.y.y)

R2--10G --->Head office (area 0.0.0.0)

 

Default traffic is being forwarded form R1 --->R2 , but the reverse  traffic is coming from area x.x.x.x (34Mb) link because it is an intra  intra area 

 

We want reverse traffic to R1  form higher bandwidth.

move R1 to HQ router 34 Mbps link from area x.x.x.x to area 0.0.0.0 on both ends

move link between R1 and R2 in area x.x.x.x in both ends from area y.y.y.y.

Default traffic is being forwarded from R1 --->R2

 

if you refer to route to 0.0.0.0/0 LSA type 5 it looks for the best path to ASBR without using the route types we have seen this in a recent thread.

 

The return traffic will look at route type being an OSPF specific internal router so you need the two changes described above in order to use the 10GE in area 0 as the return path

You need to compare an O IA route to another O IA route.
