All,

I am facing a problem with an ATM interface, the interface reads CRC and output drops, i've replaced the fiber cable but it still reads CRCs.

The remote end is a Cisco BPX 8620.

router#sh interfaces atM 2/0

ATM2/0 is up, line protocol is up

Hardware is ENHANCED ATM PA

MTU 4470 bytes, sub MTU 4470, BW 149760 Kbit, DLY 80 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 27/255, rxload 28/255

Encapsulation ATM, loopback not set

Encapsulation(s): AAL5

VC idle disconnect time: 300 seconds

0 carrier transitions

Last input 00:00:00, output 00:00:00, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters 17:01:19

Input queue: 2/75/0/21 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 344367

Queueing strategy: Per VC Queueing

30 second input rate 16666000 bits/sec, 4204 packets/sec

30 second output rate 16021000 bits/sec, 4206 packets/sec

The issue may be due to port problem or the specification of cable may nto suppport the amoount of packet sent.
