I would like to configure VPLS in a test network that looks like that:
HostA-IE4010-CSR1000v-IR1101-HostB
I'm having difficulties with the attachment circuits on both sides, any type of config I used up to now was not linked to the bridge-domain inside that CSR1000v or the IR1101. The CSR1000v runs 17.3.4a, the IR1101 17.3.4.
The VPLS config somehow seems to work, I can ping between BDIs that I have configured on both routers (some ping loss that I have to troubleshoot further) but I cannot ping from any BDI to a locally or remotely attached device nor between the attached devices.
Does anyone have experience with attachment circuits on both platforms? I tried service instances on the Gig Interface of the CSR1000v, service instances on an SVI, subinterfaces but nothing seemed to get it going. The same thing on the IR1101 side. If anyone has an idea or direction in which I could extend my tries that would be helpful.
