Hi all
I have 2 X cisco 2811 routers with hwic-2shdsl cards
I need to setup a SHDSL back to back connection.
IOS ver 12.4(11)xj
I have a RJ11 cable plugged into both SDSL interfaces - i just need a sample config to continue.
Can anyone help me?

Hi Mohammed,
I looked at this document previously, there are a number of commands that are not supported on my combination of hardware/IOS.
- DSL Equipment type- etc
Any other ideas
cheers
Hennie

Hi,
No, i guess that your only chance is to use the appropriate IOS to have it done.

Which is cuurently on the hardware.

Hi,
Weird ! i've tried this configuration once before on a Cisco 2600 series running 12.3T, and it worked (the "dsl equipment-type" command is applied under the interface not on the global configuration mode), any way i'll try testing it on a 2800 router and feed you back.

Hi
i have same problem.it take too much time for me.i think the problem are :
1-you need to upgrade your current IOS to 12.4T(6) or later.
2-i think only Cisco ISR-878 G.SHDSL and old G.SHDSL-v3-WIC (not HWIC) support back-to-back
3-FAQ for G.SHDSL HWIC mentioned that back-to-back only supported on 4-pair G.SHDSL only to diagnostics perpose.
4-i am wonder while G.SHDSL HWIC use the same ITU G.991.2 standard , why back-to-back not supported
