bandwidth restriction

guys a v basic one....how can we reduce the speed of bandwidth....for example if i have a router and have two cutomers on that (each serial) now one has requested 128Kbps an dother has requested 512kbps.....so what command i have to use......do i have to use bandwidth 512 or what cant get my head around that please an durgent reply is needed.....thanks alot

you can make use of CAR(Rate-limit) to limit the bandwidth or make use of policy map (wth police option) to restrict the bandwidth.
