We are looking for a bandwidth shaping product, Ok now the scenario is we will get a bandwidth pipe from telecom and we have to divide this bandwidth according to the clients need in our Data Centre like one client may go for 128Kb second 1Mb third 512 and so on. With an option of bursting and specially easy monitoring that how much client is using and how many times he exceeded his CIR on the graphical representation. Please suggest some product or some technology which is famous and worldwide used...
i am not able to do this all using QoS which is earlier suggested by Cisco Community here only. Reason being i tried that but first of all we didnt got the required results secondly my boss wants to monitor this and show it to clients that how much they are using in real time based on IP or subnet. when the client is bursting the CIR and so on.
Please suggest a way out fast..
Hoping for the best and fast reply.

HI Jatinder,
Cisco does have a product call SCE service control engine.
Carriers and service providers deploy the Cisco SCE 2000 Series in high-performance metropolitan-area (metro), cable, DSL, mobile, or Wi-Fi networks to provide advanced application-level bandwidth optimization, management, and service control functions. The Cisco SCE 2000 Series resides at the edge of the network where two high-speed gigabit links are used for connecting aggregation access devices to the Internet backbone infrastructure.
This solution provides state-based protocol monitoring that allows for the detection and control of virtually any network application, including: Web browsing, multimedia streaming, and peer-to-peer (P2P). The result is overall reduction of network congestion by optimizing application-level traffic, eliminating costly network link usage and infrastructure upgrades. Application and subscriber awareness become the foundation for the deployment of application tiers of service that can be based on content and premium IP service delivery.
You can match the traffic per user or ip address and spcify the bandwidth and also monitor the useage.
This might work for you, but it would be a good idea to talk to your Cisco SE or account team to find out if this would be a good product for you.
Raymond
