Behaviour of BGP in accepting routes and database of BGP

Hello Folks,

Can someone explain what is the behaviour of BGP in accepting the routes, how does it maintains its database.

Any document or Video that can help me is also a great help, please suggest if you know.

I was asking for the protocol behaviour(BGP) for understanding how its gonna maintain the route table and its database and on what basis does it accept the routes in to its route table.

What is the default behaviour of its attributes and etc..,

I would suggest also theese books except documents which were already recommended:

ccnp route exam guide - BGP section explain this protocol from very basic things, when I was studying about BGP, this was my first book, it will help to get an idea how BGP works.
