Best way of providing layer 2 between data centres over MPLS

Hi

I am currently looking at some requirements whereby we need to have servers in 2 different data centres running on the same IP address range.

We will have a L2 capable MPLS service between them, and are around 800 miles apart.

We are looking at ASR routers between them.

Would it be best to just tag vlans over the MPLS, or to use something like OTV on the ASR?

OTV is always a recommended option for this kind of scenario and it will be easy to deploy once you have ASR.
