I have a session that will not come up:
Dec 18 07:46:33: %BGP-3-NOTIFICATION: received from neighbor <REMOTE PEER> active 2/5 (authentication failure) 0 bytes
Dec 18 15:46:33.615: BGP: ses global <REMOTE PEER> (0x7FB1CD209CF0:0) act Receive NOTIFICATION 2/5 (authentication failure) 0 bytes
the other side is a Juniper.

Hi,
Maybe you should ask the peoplein charge of the peer if they are doing authentication and what is the password.

Hi,
I have seen this message being generated even without authentication configured. The trigger was that the max-prefix being reached on the peer and a BGP cease (6/1) message being sent by this same peer as a consequence. Can you check your log to find out if you receive a BGP cease message from the peer?
Regards
