BGP command Cisco 877 Router

Hi

Is it possible to set the following command on a Cisco 877 Router

router bgp 65500

At the moment it is saying it doesnt recognize the command and when I do router ? I don't see it in my list.

Hello Drikillbride,

generally speaking it is a question of the IOS image running on the box.

you can use feature navigator tool (free access)

http://www.cisco.com/go/fn

and you can search by feature using BGP as the keyword then select platform =877

for example in 12..4T

c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T3.bin

if you haven't the correct feature set to upgrade you will need to purchase a license

if you have already a 15.0 IOS image you may have the correct image but you may need to install the correct license

post a

sh ver | inc image

to see what is in your device

This is what I get from the show version

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.3(8r) YI4, RELEASE SOFTWARE

System image file is "flash:c870-advsecurityk9-mz.124-15.T7.bin"

Feature set is advance security. BGP not supported.
