Hi,

Does anyone have a sample configuration to show how I can use BGP to influence which traffic uses specific links between routers.

For instance, I want the higher bandwdith link for FTP and the lower speed link for everything else.

In the diagram, I want the R1 to R2 peer to use FTP and the R1 to R3 peer to use everything else.

Hi,

If FTP server is totally on different subnet  from rest of the app servers then you can manipulate the traffic for that subnet (min /24 for the carriers to pass) between the links.If not other way I can think of is to have PBR set up on R1 to use R2 as Nexthop for FTP server IP and let the rest go via other link. That might work.
