boot prompt

Hello people,

I have a 2500 series router that always starts in boot promt ((boot)>).

The first I switch it on, I did a enable password recovery and then I always got that prompt.

Note that the configuration register is correctly set to 0x2102!

Once I supposed it a flash memory issue, or the ios image is corrupted.

Actually the checksum is invalid, so I tried to get a "new" image from a fully working 2500, but at the end of trasaction the checksum is invalid again!

Please, any ideas (or solution)?

Hi repeater,

Please try to format the flash memeory and then do a fresh TFTP of the image. Set the boot path and reload it. It should work.

First of all, thanks for your reply.

I wanted to format my flash ram, but there is not format command in my ios release (I think it.s 11.x).

So how can I format?
