I have a customer who owns a 3745 as their primary voice and data gateway. They are running c3745-ipvoice-mz.123-8.T4.bin and the router has 32 meg flash and 128 RAM with a 128 meg compact flash card. I beleive in the past I have been able to boot an image directly off the slot0 using boot system slot0:......, however this rev of IOS does not have that command as an option. My question is what version of code do they need to be at to use this command keeping in mind the flash constraints of 32meg. I typically only like t boot from flash, but the new code they need to run is 44meg and will obviously not fit in their current flash system. Any help in this matter is appreciated.
Looking at the IOS command reference, there is no special mention of the "slot0" support, which I assume to mean that the option was introduced when the "boot system" command was first introduced in IOS 10.0
