Hi all,
Let's say I have two routers (RouterA will be .5 and RouterB will be .6) with a virtual GLBP address of .1
Is it possible to have some hosts on that subnet bypass the GLBP protocol by setting their default gateway to the .5 or 6. address?

GLBP will come into action only when hosts send data on their default gateway set to glbp virtual ip.
If you bypass the virtual IP then the only the concerned router will reply to the requests and data will flow through it.

you need to provide def. GW as .1 to your host machines.
you can not bypass glbp for some users.
your inside traffic is load balanced between physical servers .5 and .6 while going out side.

They sure can. They will also obtain the real MACs and not the GLBP's virtual MAC.
