C1941/C2901 AC Power Supply replacement

We have a 1941 router in place and in production, when I would like to replace the power supply from 'C1941/C2901 AC Power Supply" to the "PWR-1941-POE=" to enable POE on the existing "4 Port GE POE EHWIC- 'EHWIC-4ESG-P"  module.

I would like to do this in the field over the weekend, Is there documentation out there on the power supply replacement procedures?

My current software ver. is Version 15.1(4)M3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) and I would like to know if support for the hardware change is covered in this release?

Thank you.

Hi,

Have a look at table-7 in this link.

Minimum Cisco IOS Software Release 15.1(2)T for  Cisco 1900, 2900, and 3900 Series routers: IP Base License of the  Universal image

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10536/data_sheet_c78-612808.html

You have 12.2(4)M3, you should be good to go.

Hi Jerome,

Please see the following step-by-step guides on replacing/installing power supples and PoE on ISR routers.

C1941:

1. Installing and Removing a Power Supply

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/1900/hardware/installation/guide/Inst_Upgr_Int_Mods.html#wp1054462

2. Installing Power over Ethernet

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/1900/hardware/installation/guide/Inst_Upgr_Int_Mods.html#wp1061465

SW is sufficient for EHWIC-4ESG-P, as Reza advised.

Kind Regards,
Ivan
