i will try to give just the basic info. I have a c2960 switch, files were deleted from it. I copied (c2960c405ex-universalk9-mz.152-2.E9.bin) from another switch to a usb. I can get the switch to boot normal from the usb and have copied it to flash but I can not get it to load from flash on "reload" command.

After reloading what  Mode ( can you post the Complete boot logs)

boot usbflash0:c2960c405ex-universalk9-mz.152-2.E9.bin

Once it booted

copy usb to flash

make sure you change the boot variable

wr and reload

any issue post full boot process from console.

So what is the exact model of the switch?

What is the actual model of the 2960?
The reason why I'm asking is because you're forcing the switch to load an IOS that is meant for 2960C Compact switch and they may not be compatible.

We have many systems that are all the same, just one got jacked up. I copied the file off an exact same switch

I am by no means a network pro!!LOL
