C2960X switch makes tftp connection attempts

I have 2 C2960X switches running IOS 15.2(3)E that I recently put in place. I've noticed on my tftp server that these switches are making repeated attempts to connect to the tftp server and are looking for network-config, cs.cfg and cisconet.cfg file names. I've never noticed this behavior before. Is this something automated? I have older Cisco switches in my network that aren't doing this.

Wireshark packet capture shows that the switches are making broadcast requests for tftp services and then submitting the requests when the tftp server responds.

It looks like your switch is configured to boot from a DHCP server and it is trying to download a configuration file from it.
