Cisco router 3945 when unpacked from the box and powered on , it was not able to find boot loader image and booted in ROMMON mode. tried to boot from the external flash and tftp but still not able to.

Does anyone faced the similar problem and know whats the solution for the same.

we repalced router chasis 2 times and both the times faced the same problem.

Total memory size = 1024 MB - DIMM0 = 512 MB, DIMM1 = 512 MB
CISCO3945-CHASSIS with C3900-SPE150/K9 with 1048576 Kbytes of main memory
Main memory is configured to 72/72(dimm 0/1) bit mode with ECC enabled

This is what I have, Also everythign is tried, also tried with different version of IOS releases for 3945 but still the same.

Can be mislodged ot bad memory module. Or, can be the the NPE module faulty.

Cisco router 3945 when unpacked from the box and powered on ,

I'm going to agree with Paolo.  You may need to return the 3900 router to Cisco (class as Dead On Arrival).  Either the memory has jarred loose or the memory is faulty.

Thanks Paolo and leo for reply, But there were 2 new chasis both had the same problem.

Anyways its the third time we will be askign for new chasis hope that is ok :-)
