can't connect to other static ip in block

I have 2 routers, one is a cisco 800 series router and the other just a plain WRT54G router. I have a block of 5 IPs. I have configured both routers with their own external ip addreses. Both routers can be used to connect to the internet. I can ping the cisco 800 router from the WRT54G router, but I can't ping the external ip of the wrt54G router from the 800 series router. I've checked the firewall, and acls, but I can't seem to find the right setting. I was also thinking that maybe it was something with the routing, but that didn't work either.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

PS: both routers are on the same internal network (only one DHCP server enabled).

Hi,

can you provide a quick sketch and the running from 800 router as well as output from traceroute to external ip of linksys router.

Regards.

Alain.
