Files will not display on bootflash.  I am trying to do an upgrade but can't view files as I need to delete some to get the new upgrade on the flash.  Below is what I get:

dir

Usage for bootflash://
1548627968 bytes used
267857920 bytes free
1816485888 bytes total

dir bootflash:

Usage for bootflash://sup-local
1548627968 bytes used
267857920 bytes free
1816485888 bytes total

Thanks in advance.

Hi Dale,

Did your 'dir' list any files/directories at all?

Doing this on my 5K's i have a good few files in there.

dir & dir bootflash: return the same output for me.

KR Jack

No, it showed no files at all. Any way to see the files so I can delete to make room for the upgrade files ?

Hi Dale,

This is unexpected. A couple of questions if you don't mind:

  1. Are you using an account with the network-admin role?
  2. Are you in the admin/default VDC or in a different VDC?
  3. What exact kind of supervisor are you running? Is it N7K-SUP2 or N7K-SUP2E in particular?
  4. Can you execute the following five commands and post the results here?
terminal length 0
show system internal file /proc/mdstat show system internal raid show system internal file /proc/mounts show system internal kernel messages

Thanks!

Best regards,
Peter
