CBWFQ query

Hi Experts,

Just wish to clarify something.

Say I have a 10 Mbps link.  And I allocated 3 Mbps to EF (LLQ) and allocated 60% bandwidth remaining to class TEST and 20% bandwidth remaining to class default, what happens to the remaining 20%?  I was told that this remaining 20% is proportionally distributed to each class.  So given the proportion of both classes (TEST = 60/80=3/4 and default 20/80=1/4), 3/4 of the unallocated remaining 20% goes to TEST and 1/4 of the unallocated remaining 20% goes to default.  Is this correct?

If TEST is allocated 60% and default 20%, they will proportion bandwidth 60:20 or 3:1.  (The scheduler sets weights, based on assigned bandwidth allocations, and it dequeues packets by their relative weights.)
