I came across a CEM port whose Dejitter buffer size is set to 60 and the Dejitter buffer level max was 64....How is that possible?

Hello James,
Setting the Dejitter Buffer Size
To specify the size of the dejitter buffer used to compensate for the network filter, use the dejitter-buffer size command. The configured dejitter buffer size is converted from milliseconds to packets and rounded up to the next integral number of packets. Use the size argument to specify the size of the buffer, in milliseconds. The range is from 1 to 500 ms; the default is 5 ms.
see
so the value is to be seen as msecs and I share your concerns
Hope to help

So the Max level size is a rounded number of packets where as the Buffer size is a Manually entered number??

Hello James,
being a command expressed as msecs of traffic you cannot compare directly the two numbers:
60 ms of traffic should be in packets much more then 64 and this should explain why that CEM configuration is possible
Hope to help
