Circuit selection on Multilink PPP over ATM bundle.

Hi,

I have an issue with Multilink PPP over ATM.

I have two boxes, an 1841 and a 7206 which are connected by 2 different ATM links. Each link has 2 different PVCs, a vbr-rt PVC for VoIP and ubr PVC for Data.

I Also need to run Multilink PPP.

Now, this wouldn't have been a problem if I could run 2 Multilink PPPs between the same boxes, but since I can't I need to find a way to direct the voice traffic to the vbr-rt circuits while sending the data to the ubr circuits.

Anyone tried this or have an idea I might be able to use?

Hi,

It is possible to run more than one multilink PPP session between the same two routers.

Here's a link that explains this:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/tech/tk713/tk507/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080093c1d.shtml

Hope that helps - pls do remember to rate posts that help.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. The information in the link didn't quite solve my issue but it got me on the right track so I did manage to solve it. I found that it isn't neccesary to run ppp authentication, with the usernames, over the link but suffices to specify the chap hostname to change the endpoint identifier.
