I brought 2 cisco 2620 routers and only one worked properly the other displayed some unknown charecters in hyper terminal. Some friend of mine told me to try a bit rate other than 9600 so i did that and the router booted into rommon mode then he said the IOS is missing on the router
so i thought to copy the IOS from the working router to the non working router using a tftp server. Some how i did copy the IOS from the working router and then copied it into the non working router using xmodem. I have only once copied an IOS through a TFTP server so i referred to a youtube tutorial. The process worked alright and then suddenly it gave a blue screen of death and after my pc restarted i switched off the working router and switched it back on and then it gave an error message and it didn't work.
I think the router IOS is corrupted
If anyone can help me it will be a great help as i need urgent help because i'm studying for my CCNA exam
