Hi,
I have a Cisco 2800 Router and I'm unable to use the SDM for configuring the router. I get a error everytime I try to access router.
This is what the error message says, "ES Startup Error - ES has not been granted with the necessary privileges in order to startup successfully, or another unknown error occurred during startup. Please close all browser windows and try again by granting all requests."
I'm using the router straight out of the box. Configured the ip address so that I'm able to ping the router on my network. Any ideals what this error means or how to resolve?
thanks,

error says that the privileges are not high enough to open the application.
Try this:
remove the username as follows,
Router(config)#no username
And re set it as follows,
Router(config)#username

tried to change username and password as mentioned above, I still receive the same error message.

Have a look at the post titled "SDM problems with new 1841 router" in the "Getting Started with LANs" forum.
