Hi,
this is my first time with a cisco product.
i am installing a cisco 837 and am having a few problems.
When trying to set up the router to put in my WAN username and passord to log on to my ISP the router crashes. i take the following steps.
-type address in browser
-the CRWS (cisco router web setup java) launches
-i input my username and password into the specific boxes and then click save/apply
-the box appears with the blue line but when it gets the the end it just keeps going... the router has then hit a loop.
this is strage because when i change any other settings (for example, the routers ip on a LAN) and click apply the router is fine.
i have read somewhere that this router doesnt work well with the latest version on java (sun java).
does anyone know a decent version of JAVA i could use or another way i could configure the router?
thanks for any help
michael

hi
As an alternate and viable solution you can access your box using console port of the 837 router and you can start configuring as per your desire.
i feel the above 2 links will help u out to get into the console and proceed further.
