Hello everybody,
I obtained and installed a temporary Advanced IP Services license for a Cisco 861 router. The license shows as active but not in use. I cannot get the router to use this license.
Here is the output of some CLI commands:

How can I get access to the Advanced IP Services features?
Thanks in advance

Is Adv IP Services a permissible upgrade for the 860 series?
I've had a brief glance at the following, and it would appear to suggest otherwise:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps380/qa_c67_459785.html
• Advanced Security: This is the default feature set and hence the default license (preinstalled at factory) for the Cisco 860, 880 Data, and IAD880 platforms.
• Advanced IP Services: This is an upgrade option for the Cisco 880 data or IAD platforms, and is the default feature set for Cisco 880 SRST.

Hi,
Did you install the license successfully?
Below line shows that you have to reboot the router for the advsecurity to take effect
Next reboot license Level: advsecurity

Reza, thanks for the reply.
The router came with the advsecurity feature license. I am trying to access the advipservices feature set.
The temporary advipservices license I installed showed as installing properly. I have reobooted the router.
I have tried to change the prioity of the licenses with no luck and I have tried clearing the advsecurity license with no luck.

I'm not sure about the 861, but on a 1921 ISR you can use the 'license boot module' command, e.g.
Cisco-1921(config)#license boot module c1900 technology-package ?
datak9 data technology
securityk9 security technology

Hi k,
The 861 has the "license boot module" command but there is no valid data for it.
Router(config)#license boot modul?
module
Router(config)#license boot module ?
% Unrecognized command
Router(config)#license boot module
Thanks for the reply.

k,
You are absolutely right. Bad assumptions on my part.
Thank you for setting me straight.

But I think the point of the discussion is to active a temporary "license adv. ip serv.", that is possible on all other routers.

I have the same router and I was missing QOS - WRED feature... then I saw on Cisco Feature Navigator, that this feature is not supported on this router. What exactly are you missing? Maybe CFN can help...
On link bellow, someone pointed that if you need something special, you can obtain licence, but I somehow doubt that...
