Cisco 871 DHCP issue

Hi

i bought a cisco 871 which has  IOS c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin.

i tried to configure "ip addr dhcp" on the wan (fa4) interface and it give an error "%RAC-3-RACIPL: DHCP is already running on interface FastEthernet4"

Any idea?

hi Logesh,

My advice to you is to upgrade your IOS, make sure you do upgrade the DRAM/FLASH so you can fit the last IOS built for this platform, see below:

If you can not get this IOS, at least try a much recent one and give it a go.

Hi

Due to the limitation on the flash size i upgraded the IOS to c870-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T1.bin

And its working now :)
