Hello every one,
I have cisco router 871 configured and running for DSL Network.
now our mgmt has asked me to connect this router to T1(2XT1=3.0 MBps) Line.
I am not sure about this if i can connect this router to T1 directly.
If it is possible then plz show me how to configure router for this.
------------------------
second question.
can i connect this router in between my existing connection.
My existing network looks like...
LAN NETWORK-----SWITCH-----CISCO 1600 seris router----cisco FIREWALL 506E----TASMAN 1004 Router( Broadband router)----2XT1 line---
plz guide me as i am new to this field.
In Advance Thanks to yr reply.

Bharat,
The router which you are having right now i.e. Cisco 871 does not support T1 lines. You need to go for Cisco 1700 series router.
What is the current bandwidth you are currently having.
Explain your second question more clearly.

So you want to use this router for URL filtering right.
You can connect Cisco 871 router in transparent mode i.e. by adding an default route. So which ever http packet will come filtering will be done and packet will be forwaded to next hop.
