Hi,

I have recently switched to a Cisco 877. I have an ADSL 4-mbit service. Things were working fine for about 6 weeks but now bandwidth is awfully low.

When I do show dsl int atm 0 it shows:

DS Channel1 DS Channel0 US Channel1 US Channel0

Speed (kbps): 0 384 0 510

Are these figures indicative of the speeds that I get? Are there any other commands to see my ADSL speeds?

Hi,

please include the full output of the command let's check wich firmware you have. You may need to upgrade ADSL FW:

Hi, please upgrade ADSL FW per link above. if doesn't helps you will need to ask telco to overhaul the line. Confirm with ISP that contracted speed is not so low as 384 kbps !

Hi, You were right on the money. My speed should have read DS 4096 US 766, which is the service we have purchased.

Although the show dsl command output specificfically reads "Speed", I had read on this forum several different interpretations of what they meant. I hope interpreting the output of this command could be documented clearly for all who may be troubleshooting such problems.

I did not update the FW. Problem was at Telco end. My speeds are back to normal after they fixed things on their end.
