Hello,
I have a "Cisco 896-lte" router eqipped with a second sim card which uses the same mobile number as my mobile. When I use this second sim card with the "Cisco 896-lte" router and am being called on my mobile, my mobile replies being busy and forwards the phone call to my voice mail. I can use my second sim card with other routers and the busy line does not appear.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hello,
I am not sure if the 896VAG has two controllers, and thus supports dual active SIM configurations. Can you post the running config of the router ?

Hello,
many thanks for your reply.
Attached youĀ“ll find my running configuration. IĀ“m just a novice with Cisco ios but IĀ“d believe the router to be capeable of differing between phone calls and data connection as it is supposed to handle both at the same time.
Many Thanks in advance.

Hello,
it looks like you have only one controller, so only one SIM can be active at a time.

Hello,
the router has 2 sim slots and I can create different controller profiles for each sim slot. Anyway, IĀ“m using only one slot (cell0) but wouldnĀ“t even be able to call the router from another source as it acts as if it was performing a call and answers the line as busy although I only use data...

Hello,
so it is not a voice but a data connection that is being tried ? Where does the connection come from ? What other routers does this work on ?

There is no other router or modem connected to the 896. The data connection works fine. But the voice connection seems to be active permanent too, even though no phone calls are performed. What IĀ“m trying is to get rid of the voice connection as I need only data connection.

...well, I started from the scratch and reseted the router to factory defaults. As soon as the sim is unlocked the mobile number is not reachable anymore but the line is not busy as I thought before but switched off like the mobile is switched off.

Hello,
just to keep the thread open as the problem persists.
I have to reverse my last reply. I configured the router new and the problem is the same as stated in my first post. The phone line is permanent busy and the data line works fine. Any help is much appreciated...
