Cisco ASR1002 ip subnet-zero tracing issue

Hi,

Cisco ASR 1002 IOS XE (asr1000rp1-adventerprisek9.03.06.02.S.152-2.S2) is being used - There is a network configured as 10.2.48.1/22 on which local LAN is connected. A laptop has taken IP as 10.2.50.0 through DHCP. While i do trace route for 10.2.48.1 from other remote site the trace is complete but at same time if i do trace route for 10.2.50.0 which is reaching till 10.2.48.1 and then getting dropped.

Suppose if do traceroute for 10.2.50.1 laptop which is also connected in same LAN, the trace is complete. By any chance is it related to ip subnet-zero or issue could be something else..pls help

It is certainly not an issue with subnet zero (there is not any way that 10.2.50.0 is part of any subnet zero).

Is the PC with address 10.2.50.0 working ok other than the trace issue? If so I would look at the possibility that there is a firewall running on the PC which is not allowing the traceroute packets.
