I am trying to test Cellular Failover between 2 carriers ATT and Verizon using P-LTEAP18-GL on IR1101 running firmware 17.9.5.
The Primary SIM (Slot0) Picks up and IP address no issues, But the secondary slot (Slot1) port status show up up with protocol IPCP but the address shows unassigned.
I tried to switch the SIMS between the slots and observed the same behaviour where the SIM slot1 doesnt grab an an IP address. So theres no way to test the failover.
Once this is fixed, I would also like to test the carrier aggregations of different bands to see if we get more bandwidth.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

the same modem may not be suitable for both cellular providers.

sometimes you need modems with different firmware,
sometimes it is enough to create multiple LTE profiles each attached to the corresponding SIM slot

Hey @pieterh
Thanks for the inputs. Yes thats what I did, created two LTE profiles each attached to the corresponding SIM slot. Even then somehow,I cannot simulate the SIM failover. I am gonna try to deactivate the one service at a time and check if failover is seamless
