Cisco NM-1CE1T1-PRI module

Hi!!

I have checked on Cisco.com and as per a module support document for ISR's G2, the NM-1CE1TI-PRI module is not supported on new ISR's.

Grateful if more clarification could be obtained about the above.

Will be router not detect the module when inserted in the chassis?

Thanks,

Alvin

Hi Alvin,

Please have a look at this document for reference:

www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps10538/aag_c07_563807.pdf

As you can see, NM-1CE1T1-PRI is not supported on G2 routers, and the recommended replacement is HWIC-1CE1T1-PRI.

If NM-1CE1T1-PRI will be inserted on a G2 router, in show diag you will see that the card is reported as unsupported, or it doesn't even show up.

There is no workaround for that, the two hardwares are simply incompatible.

Hope this helps

Marco
