cisco router 1117 not able to boot properly

Hi, what could be the reason ?

Looks like the version image you trying may be lower i guess

System Bootstrap, Version 17.6.1, RELEASE SOFTWARE

Try any image 17.X version and post complete boot Logs for us to understand.

I have other 1117 routers with System Bootstrap, Version 17.6.1 and xe c1100-universalk9_ias.16.12.05.SPA.bin and all working fine and rebooting properly. what could go wrong for this specific one?

Good that you told me same working as expecting, this makes me thing this router may be bad

Can you please connect the console post all the boot logs right from Router boot up to until fail

i am connected to it as Out of band US robotics modem which is connected to the console port of the router and see only below again and again:

To be honest with that messages its hard to tell what went wrong.

Quick way you can try is - any new IOS XE 17.6.X would fix the issue (that what i think) - if you get chance please try that and let me know.

If the router has boot into ROMMON, post the complete output to the command "set". 

Do not edit out anything, especially the serial number of the router.  

I suspect one of two things: 

1.  The router config-registry is not 0x2101 or 0x2102.
2.  A new-ish hardware revision number which means it needs to boot a more later version.
