When you telnet to a Cisco router and then from that router you telnet to something else there is a way to suspend the telnet, return to the first router, do some things, and then return to the telnet to the second device. When you are in the second telnet session you use this key stroke combination shift CTRL 6 (press these keys together at the same time), then release those keys and type x. the shift CTRL 6 and x will suspend your second telnet and return you to the router. You can enter commands and do what you need. Then to return to the second telnet you just do carriage return (no input just press the enter key).
