Hi All,

Would like to ask what could be the solution for the below scenario?

After turning off the link going to firewall Primary result was 2 RTO and lot of TL expired in transit which took time?

Does ttl expired transit result of routing loop?

since we have ospf we also add static route on Rootbridge going to switch2 for backup route.

what do you mean by 2 RTO ? From your diagram, I don't see how a routing loop could be formed. Can you post the configs of both switches ?

I think Request time out is normal because of firewall election process. But, the TTL expired is not good.
