I have no issues with BGP, but I hate OSPF and pretty much use EIGRP instead if I can.

The issue I have with OSPF is when you want to influence route selection.  Because of all its rules it can get complicated trying to get it to prefer one path over another.  Especially when you have multiple areas, and different types of areas.

Hi Philip,

Thanks for replying...really appreciate that

Can you please suggest me some links or documents which gives an examples or scenarios for troubleshooting the issues related to OSPF and BGP.

Regards

Mohammed

Unsure how common they are, but some issues that come to mind include:

(Cisco) AD differences between eBGP, OSPF and iBGP routes.

BGP sync up with OSPF.

Redistribution of routes, including default route, summaries, dynamic OSPF or nailed-up statics for OSPF routes placed into BGP.

Of course, there are many other differences between the two protocols, by the prior are often places you might trip up when using the two together.
