I have connection (leased line - 1 Mbps) between two routers (3745 and 3620). On both sides of serial interfaces there are compress stac command. I think that compression (software compression) should be turned off because one router (3620) have high utilization of CPU and other reasons. But, there is strange problem. When I have turned off compression on both side, connection failed after some period. Also, I restarted both router after I turned off compression, but connection didn't establish.
Can somebody help me, how to solve this problem?

Hi,
Stacker compression is more CPU-intensive and less memory-intensive. Predictor is more memory-intensive and less CPU-intensive. Please try Predictor:
'ppp compress predictor' on both sides.

I can try using predictor compression, but I want to turn off compression on routers. Commpression is not necessary at all. That's problem. It looks like link don't work without commpression. Very strange.
