Hello Team,

We have two 4331 routers and we have UCSE blade installed in both the routers. In the UCSE blade we have hypervisor installed and on this hypervisor we are running Palo alto firewall. We want to connect Gi0 interfaces ( the management port )between two 4331 router and we have WAN link connected on one 4331 router and another is standby 4331 router. We want to gain access of

standby 4331 router through Gi0 port.

-->So if we were to configure default route on the standby router for Gi0 interface will remote telnet/ssh access work ?

--> Will https access work to the Palo Alto device configured on the hypervisor will work on standby 4331 router when the default route is configured for gi0 port ?

Hi,

You can connect both 4331 routers with management ports.

You can configure IP addresses from the same subnet.

Then you can ssh/telnet from one of the routers to the other one (don`t forget to use vrf Mgmt-intf)

You don`t need default gateway as both interfaces will be in the same subnet
