the switch will acquire a dhcp address
from the router?

Im adding a switch to the network and
naturally want to make it standard with the other switches

Hi
This is going to depend how u r connected to the other switch i.e u r connected through a trunk port or a access port,i think its not possible if u r connected with a trunk port with the other switch,if u r connected with a access port assigned in the vlan134 then u can get the ip address.

no...there is 1 switch connected to the routher
that is configured for dhcp-all other swiches
are hanging of this switch via trunks-since we have multiple vlans.
