Dear sirs:

In the document http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fqos_c/fqcprt1/qcfprop.htm

The last task of Policy Propagation via BGP Configuration is Classifies packets using IP Precedence in a interface, but the configuration example has no this step, why not?

hi

As you pointed out in QoPPB you can configure/translate the bgp attribute values into either a qos-group or ip-prec.

As metnioned in the link it does contain 3 steps in doing that ...i.e.,

1.creating route map

2.applying the route map to bgp routes transferred

3.enabling per interface packet marking

interface x

bgp-policy |source,destination| ip-prec-map

or

bgp-policy |source,destination| ip-qos-map

do find the 3 rd step which shows how the same is configured/applied on the interfaces..
