Confusion with part numbers

Some products have part numbers with an equal sign (-) at the end and some don't.

And some products have both, for examle,

15454-DS3-12 and 15454-DS3-12=

Can you explain this please.

Hi Kswonne11,

It is just a naming convention for spare parts.

basically part 15454-DS3-12 and 15454-DS3-12= are no different parts and exactly the same one just that = sign states that it is a spare part.

For an example if you order cat6000 chassis and just a chasiss without any fan tray , power supply etc. just a chassis we say spare chassis and naming convention will be = at the end.
