CSR1000v Throughput Licensing: Input, Output or Both?

Hello all,

I'm trying to quantify the overall utilization of a CSR1000v router to ensure that we're using the correct license level.

Here's an example of the utilization:

router#sho platform hardware qfp active datapath utilization summary
  CPP 0: 5 secs 1 min 5 min 60 min
Input: Total (pps) 9280 7642 7377 7205
                 (bps) 42033048 34816632 33352488 31469816
Output: Total (pps) 9262 7622 7357 7184
                 (bps) 42053528 34892312 33428480 31547184
Processing: Load (pct) 2 2 2 3

Looking at the last 5 seconds, should you license for the input/output (i.e. around 40Mbps), or both added together (around 80Mbps)?

Thanks! :)

if you have purchased 50MB License, it means you have maximum throughput limited to 50 MB.

Bare in mind if you going higher level more than 1GB, you need to consider looking your vNIC capacity also.
