Hi all,
i want to use the policy on my asr1000 more complex but i have no idea how...
At the moment i am using policy rules asigned via radius for provisioning.
policy-map WIFI_38M class class-default police cir 39845500 bc 7471104 be 14942208 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop
At first i want to shape p2p to not be able to reach more than 50% of cir.
Next thing will be priorise capacity for OTT.
The best will be that the traffic for OTT will not be a part of Policy... Somehow to exclude it from it. IDK if this is possible...
If not, i need to make a priority inside of policy with highest priority.
The OTT server are running on /28 network
Can you help me to make some wise solition...
Does it make any sence to priorise DNS udp packets too?
thanx
Dave

Hello,
is that OTT as in streaming video ? Something like the below could work (basically, you prioritize the video traffic, and then shape all other traffic to 50 percent of the CIR (19MB)...
class-map match-any OTT_VIDEO_CM
match dscp af41
match dscp cs4
match dscp af31
match dscp cs5
!
policy-map WIFI_SHAPER
class OTT_VIDEO_CM
priority level 1
class class-default
shape average 19000

For eg the OTT is runing it IPs 10.20.48.0/28
I dont want to have any shaping to this dst addresses to have fast switching between channels - for faster buffering
So there is exactly what i want to have on customer side:
Unlimited download speed from 10.20.48.0/28
38 Mb/s for all internet services excluding p2p
P2P to have only 30% from 38 Mbps
some minimal guaranted speed for dns packets
thanx
