DHCP Issue on VRF

Hi Teck People

 

i am facing on strang issue in my Distribution 9600 if some body face this issue guide me please

IP phone is not getting IP Address from Cisco 96000 DHCP Server but Serve is showing the binding:

DHCP SERVER Binding:

Switch-1A#show ip dhcp binding

Bindings from all pools not associated with VRF:

IP address      Client-ID/              Lease expiration        Type       State      Interface

Bindings from VRF pool Telephone:

looking at the output below:

 

*Jul 14 08:49:32.159: DHCPD: Sending DHCPOFFER to client 01a4.b239.4805.6f (172.16.130.11).

 

and what you posted earlier:

 

interface Vlan67
vrf forwarding Telephone
ip address 172.16.30.1 255.255.255.0

 

check if you did not simply make a typo somewhere. The DHCP offer is for 172.16.130.11, while the Vlan interface has IP address 172.16.30.1, which is a different subnet.

I dont see any reference to any dhcp server in you configuration, either on the distribution or access switch so where is this server located also i don’t see any voice vlan appended to the switch access port for the phone? -switchport voice vlan x

we have two seprate cluster for Distribution. 

 

Finally the issue solved by upgrading on the IOS of Distribution Swiitches

 

Platform C9606R

Presinstalled IOS version:16.12.02

Upgraded IOS version: 16.12.3a (This s a stable version )
