distribute-list question with RIP

Hello all,

I have a problem with a RIP configuration.

There are several small routers connected to my hub-router, talking RIPv2 between eachother.

I have configured a distribute-list with prefix-list, because I don't want routes to be announced to the spoke routers. Via the prefix-list I have configured that only a default-route is announced that I get from my OSPF cloud.

But when I do a debug when a topology change takes place, I can see that there are still flash-updates towards my spokes, that should be filtered out by the lists.

When using a distribute-list and prefix-list, flash updates should be filtered out too?? right?

Without a few specifics it is difficult to know how to best answer your question. If you could proivde the RIP configuration and the distribute list and the prefix list it would give us something to start from. It would also be helpful if you would post the debug output that you are seeing.
